Teachers looking for independent objective financial advice, do your homework when it comes to where you invest your money. Not all insurance company representatives are out for your best interest.
Ask specific questions:
1. Are you independent?
2. Can you write products outside of your company?
3. How do you get paid?
Many of these representatives and advisors are limited in their offering, as they do not have incentive to write products outside of the company.
Don’t get stuck in the wrong products, it cost you thousands of dollars over your career!
